Brian d'Arcy James, Kate Baldwin and PJ Griffith star with Katie Thompson and Michele Pawk in the new musical Giant, adapted by Michael John LaChiusa (music and lyrics) and Sybille Pearson (book) from Edna Ferber's 1952 novel. Made famous by the film that starred Rock Hudson, Elizabeth Taylor and James Dean, the story revolves around Texas cattleman Jordan "Bick" Benedict (James), his rich East Coast bride Leslie (Baldwin) and the complications that love, race, family and the discovery of oil bring to their Reata ranch deep in the heart of Texas. A co-production between the Public Theater and Dallas Theater Center, Giant is directed by Michael Greif. For a Leading Men column with Brian d'Arcy James, click here.
