Check out the first teaser trailer for Frozen 2 above. The sequel to Disney’s 2013 animated hit is slated to hit theatres November 22.
Just as she now does on Broadway, Elsa sheds her gown to don pants as she goes up against a monstrous wave. It appears climate change may have hit Arendelle, as the queen’s ice powers are no match against the strong current—and the land’s wintry landscape is replaced with autumnal foliage.
Reprising their voice roles for the sequel are Tony winner Idina Menzel as Elsa, Kristen Bell as Anna, and Tony nominees Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad as Kristoff and Olaf. The Oscar-winning duo of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez also return to pen new songs.

The stage adaptation of Frozen, featuring a bevy of new tunes, continues to play Broadway's St. James Theatre, where it opened in March last year. The cast includes Caissie Levy and Patti Murin as Elsa and Anna, respectively. Joining the cast February 19 will be Ryann Redmond as Olaf and Joe Carroll as Hans, with current ensemble member Noah J. Ricketts taking over as Kristoff.
