David Yazbek and Itamar Moses’ The Band's Visit began previews in the Ethel Barrymore Theatre October 7.
Based on the 2007 film by Eran Kolirin, the show follows Egyptian police band, who, after a mixup at the border, find themselves in a remote village in the middle of the Israeli desert. Over the course of an evening, the band members are led into unlikely friendships with some of the locals, causing their lives to intertwine and change irreversibly.
