Carolee Carmello and Norm Lewis, who co-star in the Off-Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd, appeared on NBC's Today June 27.
The Broadway favorites spoke with co-hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb before offering up a live performance of “A Little Priest,” which can be seen below.
The cast at the Barrow Street Theatre also features Jamie Jackson (as Judge Turpin), John-Michael Lyles (as Tobias), Stacie Bono (as Pirelli & Beggar Woman), Matt Doyle (as Anthony), Alex Finke (as Johanna), Brad Oscar (as The Beadle), Colin Anderson, Liz Pearce, and Monet Sabel.
Directed by Bill Blackhurst, Sweeney Todd began previews February 14 prior to an official opening March 1. The production extended its Off-Broadway engagement through December 31.
