In celebration of the life and career of late actor Debbie Reynolds, who died at age 84 just one day after her daughter, Carrie Fisher, Broadway actors Eloise Kropp, Christopher Rice, and Clay Thomson recreated the iconic dance number “Good Morning” from Singin’ in the Rain. Watch it above.
Reynolds starred as Kathy Selden in the 1952 musical film classic. Kropp, who starred in Broadway’s Dames at Sea and can currently be seen in Cats, takes on Reynolds’ track in “Good Morning.”
The performance features original choreography by Gene Kelly and Stanley Donen that has been recreated by Rice. Videography is by Tim Grady Films, and audio recording and mixing are by Carl Culley. Tiffany Laterza and Kelly Methven are production assistants.
The video performance is part of Rice’s Tappy series. Click here to go behind the scenes with Rice and learn about how Tappy was created.
