The U.K. touring production of Six will kick off in October in Millbrook, Guildford, with further stops planned for Glasgow's Theater Royal, Oxford Playhouse, the Edinburgh Festival Theatre, and Bath's Theatre Royal, among other cities. The tour is currently scheduled to continue through summer of 2020.
Meanwhile, the West End production of Six continues its extended run at London's Arts Theatre in the West End through January 2020; and the American premiere is now in previews at Chicago Shakespeare Theater.
The concert-style musical, which features an all-female band made up of the six wives of Henry VIII, was an initial success as a student production in Edinburgh before transferring to the West End in 2018 (the show wrapped up performances in the West End last year and returned for an encore run in January 2019).
Six is created by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, with direction by Moss and Jamie Armitage.
The musical features choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, set design by Emma Bailey, costume design by Gabriella Slade, lighting design by Tim Deiling, sound design by Paul Gatehouse, musical orchestrations by Tom Curran, and musical supervision by Joe Beighton. Freya Sands is associate choreographer, Katy Richardson is musical director, and Arlene McNaught is associate musical director.
Six is produced by Kenny Wax, Global Musicals, and George Stiles. Visit Sixthemusical.com for more information.
