The Toronto production of Dear Evan Hansen, which had recently extended its booking period to September 29, will now play its final performance July 21 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre.
The production of the Tony-winning musical officially opened March 28 following previews that began March 5.
Robert Markus, who takes on the title role, is joined by Jessica Sherman (West End's Rock 'n' Roll) as Heidi, Sean Patrick Dolan (Schitt's Creek) as Connor, Stephanie La Rochelle (CBC's Over the Rainbow) as Zoe, Claire Rankin (Molly's Game) as Cynthia, Evan Buliung (Musical Stage Company's Fun Home) as Larry, Alessandro Costantini (artistic director of YES Theatre) as Jared, and Shakura Dickson (Outside the March/Crow's Jerusalem) as Alana.
Rounding out the company are Wicked alum Zachary Noah Piser as the Evan alternate, as well as understudies Erin Breen, Malinda Carroll, Jay Davis, David Jeffery, Laura Mae Nason, Josh Strobl, and Kaitlyn Santa Juana.
The musical, featuring a Tony-winning book by Steven Levenson and a Tony-winning score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, continues its record-breaking run at Broadway's Music Box Theatre. A U.S. national tour launched in September. A London bow is slated for fall 2019.
