Othello at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre officially opened August 1 following a preview period that began on July 20. The production runs through October 13.
André Holland (Moonlight, Jitney) and Tony and Oscar winner Mark Rylance (Farinelli and the King) star as Othello and Iago, respectively. Claire van Kampen, who is married to Rylance, directs the production.
The cast is rounded out by Sheila Atin, Catherine Bailey, William Chubb, Steffan Donnelly, Micah Loubon, Ira Mandela Siobhan, Aaron Pierre, Clemmie Sveaas, Badria Timimi, and Jessica Warbeck.
