Roundabout Theatre Company’s one-night-only benefit performance of My One and Only took place November 12. Tony winners Sutton Foster and Gavin Creel headlined the Gershwin musical at Broadway’s Stephen Sondheim Theatre.
They were joined by Heidi Blickenstaff (Something Rotten!, Freaky Friday) as Mickey, Michael Park (Dear Evan Hansen) as Prince Nicolai, Ted Louis Levy (Jelly’s Last Jam) as Mr. Magix, and Lance Roberts (My Fair Lady) as Rev. J.D. Montgomery.
Rounding out the ensemble were Darius Barnes, Joe Beauregard, Ward Billeisen, Jessica Bishop, Preston Truman Boyd, Maria Briggs, James Brown III, C.K. Edwards, Shonica Gooden, Robert Hartwell, Eloise Kropp, Ross Lekites, Kevin Munhall, Noah Ricketts, Allison Semmes, Avery Smith, Dennis Stowe, and Yuka Takara.
Featuring classic George and Ira Gershwin tunes and a book by Peter Stone and Timothy S. Mayer, the 1983 musical follows love-sick aviator Billy Buck Chandler (Creel) as he flies around the world in pursuit of the championship swimmer Edythe (Foster).
Rob Ashford led the creative team as director and choreographer, with David Chase serving as music director.
