It all takes place in Cairo. Cairo, Illinois, that is. Chicago playwright Lynn Seifert's romantic comedy about love, lust and romance gone awry in a small midwestern town is being staged by the Boulevard Ensemble, Milwaukee's studio theatre, Dec. 19-Jan. 12.

Little Egypt features a debauched waitress and her two waitress daughters, as each makes the shaky foray into love and trust with odd male characters of Cairo. Egypt premiered at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre, and traveled to the coast where it ran successfully at the MET theatre of Los Angeles.

Seifert's prior drama, Coyote Ugly also premiered and was well received at Steppenwolf after being developed at Yale Repertory Theatre.
