White Rabbit Red Rabbit began March 7 starring Nathan Lane. The internationally acclaimed solo play by Nassim Soleimanpour makes its New York premiere playing Monday nights exclusively with a rotating, star-studded cast that includes Wayne Brady, Martin Short, Alan Cumming, Patrick Wilson, Christine Baranski, Ramin Karimloo and Cynthia Nixon.
Each night, a different actor is handed a script to perform without the help of a director, rehearsals or a set. The line-up also includes Brian Dennehy, Mike Birbiglia, Andrea Martin, Marin Mazzie, David Hyde Pierce and George Takei.
Confirmed dates include Wilson (March 21), Dennehy (March 28), Brady (April 4), Birbiglia (April 11), Nixon (April 18), Cumming (April 25) and Short (May 2).

Forbidden to leave his country, Iranian playwright Soleimanpour transcribed his experience of isolation into this unique stage work. The play premiered at the 2011 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it won a series of awards. It has since been translated into 15 different languages and performed globally. “This wildly entertaining and thought-provoking theatrical piece – where no audience can see the same show twice - blends drama, comedy and social experiment,“ state press notes.
