Cherise Boothe, who starred in Lynn Nottage's Ruined Off-Broadway, stars as Undine in the Signature Theatre's fall revival of Nottage's 2004 play Fabulation, or The Re-Education of Undine. The satirical tale by the two-time Pulitzer Prize winner kicks off her playwriting residency at the Off-Broadway institution.
Fabulation is directed by Obie Award winner Lileana Blain-Cruz in Signature's Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre. Performances will begin November 19 ahead of a December 10 opening, and are scheduled through January 6, 2019.
Completing the cast is Mayaa Boateng (Fairview), Marcus Callender (Straight Outta Compton), J. Bernard Calloway (Head of Passes), Dashiell Eaves (A Time to Kill), Ian Lassiter (Junk), Nikiya Mathis (Skeleton Crew), and Heather Alicia Simms (Barbecue).
