Playwrights Horizons celebrated the official opening of Larissa FastHorse’s comedy The Thanksgiving Play November 5. In the new play, a group of well-intentioned white teaching artists scramble to create an ambitious "woke" Thanksgiving pageant that also celebrates Native American Heritage Month.
The world premiere is directed by Tony nominee Moritz von Stuelpnagel, with a cast made up of Margo Seibert, Jennifer Bareilles, Jeffrey Bean, and Greg Keller.
Performances began October 12 in the Peter Jay Sharp Theater, where it is scheduled to play through November 25. Read reviews for The Thanksgiving Play below.
