The Princess Grace Foundation held its 2001 Awards Ceremony at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in Manhattan on Oct. 22. Bebe Neuwirth presented the awards while Dr. Ronan Tynan of The Irish Tenors provided musical entertainment. His Serene Highness Crown Prince Albert of Monaco was in attendance at this annual, black-tie event.
The Princess Grace Foundation is non-profit organization dedicated to supporting young artists through grants in the forms of scholarships, apprenticeships and fellowships. Since 1984, the grants have been awarded annually in the areas of theatre, dance and film. The Foundation is named in honor of Her Serene Highness Princess Grace of Monaco, who was committed to helping aspiring young artists realize the full potential of their talents, during the span of her lifetime.
