Featuring a book, music and lyrics by Dorothy Papadakos, Pompeii will play the Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts Nov. 2-13. The company also features Steven Ted Beckler, Pauline E. Cobrda, Sinceé J. Daniels, Christopher F. Dayett, Christina D’Orta, Michael D. Dionissiou, Bradley Evans, Tommy Foster, Lauren Haughton, Lauren e. Hauser, Deborah Frank Howard, Annemarie Rosano, Tyler Simmons, Christian Sineath, Matthew Harrison Udland and Daniel J. Watts. Tom Briggs directs. Pompeii, according to production notes, is "set in ancient Italy’s playground to the rich and famous [and] follows Bacchus, merry god of wine and mischief, as he takes one last romp through his beloved Pompeii."
The creative team also includes Kay Cameron (music supervisor), Ray Kennedy (choreographer), Don Sebesky (orchestrations), Michael Bottari and Ronald Case (costume design), Terry Collins (scenic design) and Traci Klainer (lighting design). The musical is being produced by World Premiere Theatrical Productions, Inc.
