"Theater Talk," the popular PBS show devoted to the world of the stage, will continue its new season with an interview with playwright Albert Innaurato (Gemini). The program will air on Channel Thirteen WNET on Thursday, Oct. 28, at midnight (Friday morning).
Several weeks ago, the outspoken Innaurato wrote a New York Times Magazine essay entitled "Today, The Musical Dies," in which he argued that the musical genre should be put out to pasture. Innaurato further discusses his thesis with "Theatre Talk" hosts Michael Riedel of The New York Post and Susan Haskins.
Also on the Oct. 28 program, Riedel, Haskins, Associated Press critic Mike Kuchwara and Playbill On-Line editor Robert Simonson discuss the recently-opened musical, Saturday Night Fever.
The show will re-air on MetroArts Thirteen, Saturday, Nov. 6, at 10 PM (check local Cablevision listings for time and channel); and in Boston on WGBH, Nov. 5 at 12:30.
