News PHOTO CALL: New Musical Saved Opens Off-Broadway Celia Keenan-Bolger and company celebrated the opening night of the world premiere of the new musical Saved June 3 at Off-Broadway's Playwrights Horizons.

Gary Griffin directed the musical penned by Michael Friedman (music and lyrics), John Dempsey and Rinne Groff (book and lyrics). Choreography is by Sergio Trujillo. "In Saved, good girl Mary (Keenan-Bolger) and her domineering best friend Hilary Faye (Faber) are starting their senior year at the top of the social food chain at American Eagle Christian High School — that is, until Mary's boyfriend (Tveit) tells her he thinks he's gay," according to show notes.

Keenan-Bolger is joined onstage by John Dossett, Julia Murney, Mary Faber, Josh Breckenridge, Juliana Ashley Hansen, Curtis Holbrook, Van Hughes, Jason Michael Snow, Morgan Weed, Aaron Tveit, Emily Walton and Daniel Zaitchik.
