The book, titled "Stella Is a Star," features text by Peters and illustrations by Liz Murphy. Included is an audio CD on which Peters performs "Stella's Song," which she composed. "It's about a pit bull, but no one likes her, so she masquerades as a pig of the highest order," Peters recently told Playbill.com. "She calls herself 'Princess Pig,'" Peters said with a laugh.
"It's a great story about not judging people from the outside, and not being afraid to accept and love yourself for who you are," Peters added.
