RTC announced May 13 that Twentieth Century will play a 20-week limited engagement through July 5, 2015, at Broadway's American Airlines Theatre, and the previously announced production of Noises Off has been postponed to fall 2015. Twentieth Century will begin previews Feb. 12, 2015, towards a March 12, 2015, opening night.

Tony and Emmy Award winner Andrea Martin was to star in Noises Off, which was to begin previews in January 2015 at the Airlines.

Roundabout associate artistic director Scott Ellis (a six-time Tony Award nominee for She Loves Me, Steel Pier, 1776, Twelve Angry Men, Curtains, The Mystery of Edwin Drood) will direct On the Twentieth Century with choreography by Warren Carlyle, a two-time Tony nominee for this season's After Midnight.

Chenoweth, a Tony Award winner for You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and a Tony nominee for Wicked, will return to Broadway as Lily Garland opposite film, television and Broadway star Gallagher ("The O.C," "American Beauty," Guys and Dolls, The Country Girl) as Oscar Jaffe.

Chenoweth ("Glee," "Pushing Daisies," Promises, Promises) has been very vocal about reviving the role of Hollywood scarlet Lily Garland on Broadway. The musical — featuring music by Cy Coleman and book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green — premiered on Broadway in 1978 under the direction of Harold Prince and won Tony Awards for Best Original Score and Best Book of a Musical. The full cast will be announced at a later date.

Here's how Roundabout bills the classic: "It's nonstop laughs aboard the Twentieth Century, a luxury coach travelling from Chicago to New York City. Luck, love and mischief collide when the bankrupt theater producer Oscar Jaffe (Gallagher) embarks on a madcap mission to cajole glamorous Hollywood starlet Lily Garland (Chenoweth) into playing the lead in his new, non-existent epic drama. But is the train ride long enough to reignite the spark between these former lovers, create a play from scratch, and find the money to get it all the way to Broadway?"

The design team includes David Rockwell (sets), William Ivey Long (costumes) and Donald Holder (lights).

Tickets are currently available to Roundabout subscribers and donors only. Tickets will be on sale to the public this summer.

Roundabout's 2014-15 season also includes Tom Stoppard's The Real Thing, starring Ewan McGregor, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Cynthia Nixon, directed by Sam Gold; Tom Stoppard's Indian Ink, starring Rosemary Harris, directed by Carey Perloff; and Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into the Woods.

The American Airlines Theatre on Broadway is located at 227 West 42nd Street. For more information, call (212) 719-1300 or visit RoundaboutTheatre.org.
