National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene hosts a Fiddler on the Roof sing-along June 19 at New York’s Museum of Jewish Heritage at 3 PM, featuring musical hits from the 1971 film adaptation, which is based on the famed Broadway musical.
Fans are encouraged to come in costume and sing along with a cast featuring original Broadway cast member Rosalind Harris, who also starred in the film; Neva Small, another actress from the film; Adam B. Shapiro; and Rachael Sage.
Joining them are Russian-born violin virtuoso improviser and composer Ljova (Ljova and the Kontraband), and reggae vocalist Jah Furry, known for mixing reggae and klezmer.
The latest Broadway revival of Jerry Bock, Joseph Stein and Sheldon Harnick’s Fiddler on the Roof officially opened at the Broadway Theatre December 20, 2015, where it continues to play.
Tickets to NYTF’s Fiddler sing-along are available here.
