The Real O’Neals star Noah Galvin, who made his Broadway debut succeeding Tony winner Ben Platt in the title role of Dear Evan Hansen, returns to Broadway April 29 in Waitress at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.
Galvin, recently seen Off-Broadway in the new musical Alice By Heart, takes over the role of Ogie, following Eddie Jemison (an alum of the film that inspired the musical), who played his final performance April 28.
Galvin begins performances the same day Caitlin Houlahan (Girl From the North Country) returns to the role of Dawn. Lenne Klingaman played her final performance as Dawn April 28.
The cast currently features Shoshana Bean as Jenna and Jeremy Jordan as Doctor Pomatter, with Charity Angel Dawson as Becky, Ben Thompson as Earl, Larry Marshall as Joe, and Benny Elledge as Cal. (Bean and Jordan recently extended their engagements in the hit musical through June 2.)
SEE WHAT ELSE IS COMING TO BROADWAY IN THE NEAR FUTURE
Based upon the 2007 motion picture written by Adrienne Shelly, Waitress is the first Broadway musical to have four women in the four top creative team spots, with a book by Jessie Nelson, a score by six-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles, choreography by Lorin Latarro, and direction by Tony winner Diane Paulus.
Waitress is now playing in London’s West End at the Adelphi Theatre and on a North American tour.
