Following a star turn on Broadway in Network, Bryan Cranston will return to the screen to headline a new limited series for Showtime. According to Variety, the Tony and Emmy winner is set to star in and executive produce the legal drama Your Honor.
Cranston will play a judge who finds himself thrown into a web of lies and difficult decisions after his son is involved in a hit-and-run. The series is based on the Israeli TV series Kvodo.
Peter Moffat will pen the pilot and additional episodes of the ten-part series, as well as serve as showrunner. Production will begin in New Orleans later this year.
Prior to taking on the role of Howard Beale in Network on Broadway, Cranston earned an Olivier Award for his performance in the Ivo van Hove-directed production’s premiere at the National Theatre in London. He won a Tony Award in 2014 for his Broadway debut in All the Way. He is a three-time Emmy winner for his portrayal of Walter White on Breaking Bad and earned an Oscar nomination in 2016 for Trumbo.
Network continues to play through April 28 at the Belasco Theatre.
