Before Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune opened at the Broadhurst Theatre May 30, star Michael Shannon joined Playbill at Frankie & Johnnie's Steakhouse in Midtown Manhattan for Nespresso's Coffee Talks.
In the video above, the two-time Oscar-nominated actor discusses working with Audra McDonald and returning to Broadway for the first time in almost three years with the Terrence McNally two-hander. Watch the video above!

Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune debuted Off-Broadway in 1987 and was later seen on Broadway in 2002. The play tells the story of a waitress and a short-order cook's first date that turns into something more.
Directed by Arin Arbus, the creative team for the Broadway revival includes Riccardo Hernandez (sets), Emily Rebholz (costumes), Natasha Katz (lighting), Nevin Steinberg (sound), J. Jared Janas (hair, wig, and makeup), Laurie Goldfeder (production stage manager), and 101 Productions, Ltd. (general manager).
