Producers of the new Broadway musical Mean Girls will celebrate “Mean Girls Day” on October 3 with a special free fan performance at the August Wilson Theatre.
Tickets to the 7 PM performance are being distributed through a digital lottery at MeanGirlsonBroadway.com/Oct3, which is now open to entries. Tickets are limited to one entry per person and two tickets per winner. You must be 14 and older to enter.
The digital lottery ends at 11:59 PM on August 7.
Winner notifications will be sent starting at 10 AM ET on August 8 via email or SMS message.
Non-winners will be notified via email after all winning tickets are distributed. All entrants will be notified of their status by August 10.
The new musical features music by Jeff Richmond, lyrics by Nell Benjamin, and a book by Tina Fey, who makes her Broadway debut after appearing in and penning the screenplay for the 2004 comedy.
Leading the cast is Erika Henningsen (Les Misérables) as high school fresh face Cady Heron (played on screen by Lindsay Lohan). Bringing the Plastics, the vicious clique Heron infiltrates, are Taylor Louderman(Kinky Boots) as queen bee Regina George, Ashley Park (Sunday in the Park with George) as Gretchen Wieners, and Kate Rockwell (Rock of Ages) as Karen Smith.
The company also includes Tony nominee Kerry Butler as Ms. Norbury, Grey Henson as Damian, Cheech Manohar as Kevin Gnapoor, Kyle Selig as Aaron Samuels, Barrett Wilbert Weed as Janis Sarkisian, and Rick Younger as Mr. Duvall.
