Mary Bacon (Arcadia, Harrison, TX) will assume the role of Marmie/Aunt March in the Primary Stages production of Kate Hamill's Little Women, now in performances at the Cherry Lane Theatre. She takes over from Maria Elena Ramirez, who has departed the production due to an injury.

Little Women began performances Off-Broadway May 15 ahead of a June 4 opening.

Based on Louisa May Alcott's celebrated novel, with direction by Sarna Lapine (Sunday in the Park with George), the production stars Paradise Blue's Kristolyn Lloyd as Jo March—ambitious, headstrong, and yearning for a future she can’t yet articulate.

The cast of Little Women also includes Paola Sanchez Abreu (The Wolves) as Beth, Megan Byrne (Arcadia) as Hannah/Mrs. Mingott, Michael Crane (Gloria, The Body of an American) as Brooks/Parrot/Dashwood, playwright Hamill as Meg, Andrew Long (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) as Mr. Laurence/Robert March, Nate Mann (Off-Broadway debut) as Laurie, and Carmen Zilles (Small Mouth Sounds) as Amy.

Little Women is produced in association with Jamie deRoy. For tickets and more information visit PrimaryStages.org.
