Lulu, the veteran singer and actor who starred opposite Sidney Poitier in To Sir With Love, will return to the West End after 30 years to join the cast of 42nd Street at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.

Lulu, whose West End credits include Guys & Dolls, Peter Pan, Whatever Happened to Harold Smith, and Song & Dance, will step into the role of Dorothy Brock beginning March 19.

Also joining the cast that day is Ashley Day (An American in Paris, The Book of Mormon) as Billy Lawlor and Matthew Goodgame as Pat Denning.

Continuing in their roles are Tom Lister as Julian Marsh and Clare Halse as Peggy Sawyer with Jasna Ivir as Maggie Jones, Graeme Henderson as Andy Lee, Christopher Howell as Bert Barry, Bruce Montague as Abner Dillon, Mark McKerracher as Mac/Doc/Thug, and Emma Caffrey as Anytime Annie.

The production is directed by the show’s co-author, Mark Bramble, with choreography by Randy Skinner.
