Linda Eder, star of Broadway’s Jekyll & Hyde, is returning to the New York cabaret stage with a newly re-orchestrated show of songs from throughout her career.
She will appear 7 PM November 3 and 4 at Feinstein’s/54 Below in Manhattan.
The award-winning performer told Playbill that instead of focusing on songs from her most recent album, 2015’s Retro, she will perform “a variety from my many different albums.” Among her planned songs are a number of time-related hits from throughout her concert and recording career, including “It’s Time,” “This Time Around,” “Till You Come Back to Me,” and a medley with “The Best Is Yet to Come” and “Time After Time.”
The concert will encore her sold-out engagement at the same venue this past June.
She said, “I have changed up my instrumentation and so, along with the piano, bass and drums, I will be using three horn players instead of guitar because I am bringing back some of my past album cuts where we used big band arrangements.”
She has no immediate plans to appear in another stage musical, saying, “I love musicals but I don't like the schedule.”
But as for returning to Manhattan, the singer said, “New York is unique. I have performed all over the country for so many years and there is nothing like the buzz you get from a New York gig!”
Both Eder’s shows are currently sold out. The venue asks fans to call (646) 476-3551 to inquire about getting on a waitlist for cancellations. Feinstein’s/54 Below is located at 254 West 54th Street, beneath Studio 54, in Manhattan.
Eder’s Jekyll & Hyde co-star Robert Cuccioli is scheduled to headline 54 Salutes Frank Sinatra at the same venue for the 9:30 PM show November 3.
