She will play Manchester's Opera House March 13, Edinburgh's Festival Theatre March 15 and Cardiff's Wales Millennium Centre March 17. Her show is directed by Richard Jay-Alexander, with musical direction by Rob Fisher.
She is joined by singer/dancers Tyler Hanes (who also choreographs), Will Taylor and Jennifer Diamond. Sound and lighting design is by Matt Berman, and costumes come from Chenoweth's closet.
This U.K. tour, her only European dates, follows a series of sold-out U.S. engagements. According to press materials, the show includes material from the worlds of opera, pop and musical theatre, songs from her celebrated albums, and music from the shows she has starred in.
Best known for originating the role of Glinda in the original cast of Wicked, her other Broadway credits include her Tony-winning performance as Sally in You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, Eve in The Apple Tree and, most recently, Fran Kubelik in Promises, Promises. Her TV appearances include recurring roles as Annabeth Schott in "The West Wing," an Emmy Award-winning performance as Olive Snook in "Pushing Daisies," an Emmy-nominated performance as April Rhodes in "Glee" and most recently "GCB."
