Traina, an accomplished clarinetist and saxophonist, is featured on the new disc, which is titled "Ten By Eleven." In addition to the musicians who comprise the Joe Traina Quintet — pianist Tim Regusis, bass player Sean Smith, tenor saxophone player Mike Karn and drummer Scott Neumann — the new recording also boasts a mix of some of the best jazz musicians working today: Grammy-nominated trombonist Pete McGuinness (who arranged the ten tunes on the new recording), trumpeter Tony Kadleck, trumpeter Scott Wendholt, alto saxophonist Dave Pietro, baritone saxophonist Frank Basile and guitarist Pete McCann.
"Ten By Eleven," on the Joe Traina music label, includes such songs as Guys and Dolls' "I've Never Been in Love Before," My Fair Lady's "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face" and Jubilee's "Begin the Beguine," among others.
The disc, priced $19.95, is available on cdbaby, Amazon.com and iTunes.
