The Joe Traina Dectet will play the Manhattan venue at 8:30 and 10:30 PM. The two sets feature arrangements penned by Grammy-nominated arranger, trombonist and vocalist Pete McGuinness and selections from Traina's upcoming CD, "Ten By Ten," which is due in early 2009. Traina is joined onstage by trumpeter Tony Kadleck (who has performed with Barbra Streisand and the late Frank Sinatra), trumpeter Scott Wendholt (of the Village Vanguard Orchestra), alto saxophonist Dave Pietro (who has worked with Cleo Laine), tenor saxophonist Mike Karn (of the Ray Charles and Harry Connick Orchestras), baritone saxophonist Frank Basile (also of the Village Vanguard Orchestra), pianist Tim Regusis (who has worked with Patti Austin and David Byrne), bassist Sean Smith (who numbers Liza Minnelli and Rosemary Clooney among those he has accompanied), drummer Scott Neumann (who has played in the Avenue Q and Swing! orchestras) and guitarist Pete McCann (Palmetto Records recording artist). Traina will be featured on clarinet and alto saxophone.

The Joe Traina ensembles have performed at such venues as Tavern On the Green, Metronome, Sardi's, The National Arts Club, Tatou, Sullivan's, Shelly's New York and The Savoy Grill.

"Ten By Ten," which will be released on the Joe Traina music label, will include such songs as Guys and Dolls' "I've Never Been in Love Before," My Fair Lady's "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face" and Jubilee's "Begin the Beguine," among others.

Iridium is located in Manhattan at 1650 Broadway at the corner of West 51st Street. For reservations call (212) 582-2121.
