
Mueller, who was a critical sensation in the recent On a Clear Day You Can See Forever and recently played Carrie in the New York Philharmonic's Carousel, plays Billie, the lady bootlegger who falls for a playboy in the confection by Joe DiPietro (with songs by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin). O'Hara, who was Tony-nominated for her work here, is next appearing in the new Off-Broadway musical Far From Heaven.
Egan is a veteran of The Producers and Sister Act. Schuck is known for many production of Annie, and recently appeared in the world premiere of the musical Grumpy Old Men.
It was also recently announced that Emmy and Tony Award winner Blythe Danner will perform in the role of Millicent Winter through April 28, and that Academy Award winner Estelle Parsons returns to the role on April 30.
The production, directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall, also stars two-time Tony Award winner Matthew Broderick, two-time Tony Award winner Judy Kaye as Estonia Dulworth, Tony Award winner Michael McGrath as Cookie McGee, Tony Award nominee Jennifer Laura Thompson as Eileen Evergreen, Chris Sullivan as Duke Mahoney and Robyn Hurder as Jeannie Muldoon.
Performances play the Imperial Theatre. For their work in Nice Work, Kaye and McGrath were the recipients of 2012 Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards. Joe DiPietro won the 2012 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Book of a Musical.
