The annual awards honor the best in journalism, film, TV and theatre. This year's nominations include three theatre-related categories: Outstanding Los Angeles Theater; Outstanding New York Theatre: Broadway and Off-Broadway; and Outstanding New York Theatre: Off Off-Broadway. For the second consecutive year, the ceremony will be televised. Logo, the new MTV Networks channel, will air the GLAAD Media Awards April 15 at 9 PM ET. For the first time, VH1 will also air the awards ceremony; that air date is April 16 at 11 PM ET.
Four GLAAD Media Awards ceremonies will be held: March 27 at the New York Marriott Marquis; April 8 at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles; May 25 at Miami’s Ritz Carlton Hotel; and June 10 at the Marriott in San Francisco.
