Bernadette Peters makes her highly anticipated return to Broadway January 20 in the Tony-winning revival of Hello, Dolly!. Check out the first production photo of the stage legend in the title character's iconic headdress as she crosses the stage's passerelle in the shot above.
The three-time Tony recipient succeeds Bette Midler, who took her final bow at the Shubert Theatre January 14. Also joining the cast Saturday evening are Tony nominee Victor Garber, Olivier nominee Charlie Stemp, and newcomer Molly Griggs as Horace Vandergelder, Barnaby Tucker, and Minnie Fay, respectively.
Peters last appeared on Broadway in the 2011 revival of Follies; her additional credits include Tony-winning performances in Annie Get Your Gun and Song and Dance, as well as originating the roles of the Witch in Into the Woods and Dot in Sunday in the Park with George.
The four new actors join a cast that also includes Tony winner Gavin Creel as Cornelius Hackl and Kate Baldwin as Irene Molloy.
