The composers, who are ages 19-90 and who were born everywhere from Kansas City to San Francisco to Montreal, will write a song about someone who has changed their idea of New York City.
Contributors currently include Danny Abosch, Deborah Abramson, Gaby Alter, Nick Blaemire, Jake Brandman, Zina Goldrich, Adam Gwon, Paul Scott Goodman, Marcy Heisler, Caleb Hoyer, Joe Iconis, Michael R. Jackson, Galt MacDermot, Julia Mattison, Ryan Scott Oliver, Willem Oosthuysen, Bill Russell, Charles Strouse and Zack Zadek.
Performers for the evening, which will benefit The Actors Fund, will be announced shortly.
The concert is created by Caleb Hoyer and Jennifer Ashley Tepper.
