News Ed Asner and Steve Kazee to Star in CMT Sitcom Emmy Award winner Ed Asner and fellow Broadway veteran Steve Kazee will co-star in "Working Class," the first scripted sitcom to air on CMT (the cable network Country Music Television).

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the show will begin airing in January 2011 and will star Melissa Peterman as a working-class single mom who moves her family to a well-off suburb, with Asner as her distrustful neighbor.

Asner, currently starring in the title role of FDR at the Pasadena Playhouse, appeared on Broadway in Born Yesterday and Off-Broadway in The Threepenny Opera, but he is best known for playing the character Lou Grant in two television series, "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and "Lou Grant." Asner won Emmy Awards for both series, and was recently heard in the Disney-Pixar animated movie "Up."

Kazee has appeared on Broadway in To Be Or Not To Be, 110 in the Shade, Spamalot and Seascape.
