Elsie Fest, the annual outdoor music festival for lovers of musical theatre, featuring songs from Broadway and beyond, held its fourth annual festival at SummerStage in Central Park October 7.
Leading the event was Darren Criss, the music festival's co-creator, Broadway favorite, and recent Emmy Award winner, as well as Tony-winning Younger star Sutton Foster,Tony nominee and recent Carousel star Joshua Henry, and Once On This Island's Alex Newell.
Guest performers included Nick Jonas (like Criss, an alum of the Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying),Grammy nominee Rufus Wainwright, The Flash star Grant Gustin, Tony nominee and The Little Mermaid favorite Jodi Benson, Tony and Emmy nominee Matthew Morrison, Riverdale's Casey Cott, and the casts ofthe movie musical Anna and the Apocalypse and the Broadway-bound Be More Chill and The Prom.
