National Tour News Christiane Noll and Aaron Lazar Join Cast of Dear Evan Hansen National Tour Casting is now complete for the tour of the Tony-winning musical that launches in Denver this September.

Ragtime Tony nominee Christiane Noll and The Last Ship's Aaron Lazar will play Cynthia and Larry Murphy in the national tour of the Tony-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen. Their son Connor will be played by Fun Home's Marrick Smith with Maggie McKenna (Muriel's Wedding The Musical) as daughter Zoe. The road production of the Tony Award-winning musical will kick off in September in Denver before going on to play 50 U.S. cities.

Noll, Lazar, Smith, and McKenna will join the previously announced Jessica Phillips (Heidi Hansen), Jared Goldsmith (Jared Kleinman), Phoebe Koyabe (Alana Beck), and Ben Levi Ross, who will take on the title role.

The cast also includes Stephen Christopher Anthony (as the Evan alternate), along with understudies Ashley De La Rosa, Noah Kieserman, Jane Pfitsch, Coleen Sexton, and Maria Wirries.

Noll has also been seen on Broadway in Chaplin, It Ain't Nothin’ But the Blues, and Jekyll & Hyde. Lazar's additional Broadway credits include A Little Night Music, The Light in the Piazza, Mamma Mia!, The Phantom of the Opera, and more.

Ross made his Broadway debut in Dear Evan Hansen, covering the title role, Connor Murphy, and Jared Kleinman. Phillips has also appeared on Broadway in The Scarlet Pimpernel, Next to Normal, and Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Goldsmith has performed at Flat Rock Playhouse, Cortland Repertory Theatre, and Elon University, where he received his BFA in Music Theatre. Koyabe was born in rural France and raised in Arizona and has performed at Broadway Palm, Desert Stages Theater, and Mesa Encore Theater.

Dear Evan Hansen features a score by the Tony- and Oscar-winning songwriting team of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dogfight, A Christmas Story), a book by Tony winner Steven Levenson (Masters of Sex), choreography by Danny Mefford (Fun Home), and direction by multiple Tony nominee Michael Greif (Rent, Next to Normal, If/Then).

Dear Evan Hansen will begin performances in September at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (September 25–October 13), followed by engagements in Los Angeles (October 17–November 25) and San Francisco (December 5–30).
