Just in time for the 20th anniversary of the movie, casting as been announced for the national tour of Cruel Intentions: The 90s Musical, which will kick off March 29 in Schenectady, New York.
Cruel Intentions hits the road following sold-out runs in Los Angeles and New York. Additional stops include Chicago, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Hartford, Dallas, Philadelphia, and more.
The cast will feature John Battagliese (BAZ: Starcrossed Love) as Greg McConnell, Richard Crandle (Hairspray) as Ronald Clifford, Jeffrey Kringer as Sebastian Valmont, Dara Orland (Beauty & the Beast) as Mrs. Bunny Caldwell, Taylor Pearlstein (Flashdance) as Kathryn Merteuil, Brooke Singer (The Great Pie Robbery) as Cecile Caldwell, Betsy Stewart (October Sky) as Annette, David Wright (Cinderella) as Blaine Tuttle, and Nicole Medoro (This Ain’t No Disco) as the female understudy and Aramie Payton (The Scottsboro Boys) as the male understudy.
An Off-Broadway cast recording will be released March 8. The musical incorporates such pop songs as “Losing My Religion,” “Bye Bye Bye,” “No Scrubs,” “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” “Foolish Games,” and “Lovefool.”
