A spokesperson for the Tony-winning musical confirmed that Davis will return to the Rent ensemble June 1. Davis, who will again be the featured soloist in the second-act opener "Seasons of Love," made her Rent and Broadway debut in May 2003. Lachey will make his Broadway bow in the La Bohème-inspired musical Sept. 10. He is scheduled to play the role of Mark, originated on Broadway by Anthony Rapp, through early March. After Frenchie Davis made it to the finals of the second season of "American Idol," the singer was dropped from the show, but she quickly rebounded, making her Broadway debut in Rent. She also recently portrayed Effie in a limited tour of Dreamgirls. Drew Lachey was a member of the pop group 98º. Their recordings include "98º and Rising," "This Christmas" and "Revelation."
