Monica Simoes

Broadway Sessions, the weekly evening of musical performances, games, and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week, will host an unofficial BroadwayCon closing-night, open mic party January 29.

Created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Wicked, Aida, Footloose), who will be on hand at BroadwayCon all weekend, and featuring special guest musical director Kyle Branzel on piano, doors will open at 8 PM with music going long into the night.

BroadwayCon attendees and New Yorkers are invited to “sing, play games, dine, drink, and sing-a-long on this special Sunday night edition of Broadway Sessions,” according to press notes.

Hundreds of scores and music books will be available to singers, and singers will receive an HD video of their performance. Reservations are recommended at WestBankCafe.com/Broadway-Sessions-.

Broadway Sessions takes place every Thursday evening at the Laurie Beechman Theater; there will be no regularly scheduled Thursday night Sessions this week.

The Laurie Beechman Theater is located inside The West Bank Café at 407 West 42nd Street. There are $5 drink specials all night, and a $10 cover includes a donation to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
