There must be another two lights on Broadway. Gregory Jbara and Rebecca Luker have gone public with the news that they are legally separated and getting a divorce.

Jbara is currently in Broadway's Victor/Victoria. Luker, a 1995 Tony nominee as Magnolia in Show Boat, is heading into the Broadway-bound Old Globe production of the musical Time and Again.

Jbara said "It was a mutual decision. You know, this type of work takes its toll, especially in the home place. The demands of work and time caused our marriage to end. Fortunately we're still friends, but our careers took us to different places."

Luker said only that the situation was "painful."

There was a period of time when it looked like husband and wife would be on Broadway simultaneously, but when Luker was in New York with Show Boat, Jbara was touring with Vic/Vic. By time the latter show arrived in NY, Luker had left her show.Jbara said both are seeing new partners and wanted to go public with the news so people would not be surprised.
