News Blumenkrantz to Host London Showcase of Original Songs Jeff Blumenkrantz, the Tony-nominated composer who contributed to the 2003 score for Urban Cowboy, will host a London showcase of original songs he has written June 22.

The evening will be held at St Paul's Church in Wilton Place, near Knightsbridge, London SW1, at 8 PM. Blumenkrantz will be joined by guests Damian Humbley (The Last Five Years at the Menier Chocolate Factory, Fiddler on the Roof at the Savoy), Alexandra Silber (The Woman in Black at the Palace, Fiddler on the Roof at the Savoy) and Lauren Ward (Follies on Broadway, The Sound of Music at the London Palladium).

As a composer, arranger, orchestrator and/or musical director, Blumenkrantz has worked with such performers as Audra McDonald (who recorded his song "I Won't Mind" on her album "How Glory Goes," and also performed one of his songs in the 2004 premiere of a song cycle The Seven Deadly Sins at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall), Megan Mullally, Lillias White, Victoria Clark, Rebecca Luker, Emily Skinner, Michael Winther, Judy Kuhn, Billy Porter, Judy Blazer, Theresa McCarthy, Jane Kelly Williams and The Tonics. He was one of the team of 20 writers who contributed to the Transport Group's production of The Audience in 2005.
