Kara Lindsay shows us what a two show day is like at North Carolina Theatre’s production of Mary Poppins.

Started off this two show Mary Poppins day with a delicious iced coffee from Lucettegrace and a peanut butter and jelly macaroon...WHAT?! Mind. Blown.
These two lovely gals share in my coffee addiction and were the best brunch pals. Hope Michelson (Kathy Fitzgerald's wonderful daughter) and Kelly Bolick (our Dance Captain extraordinaire).
We decided to go to a nearby cafe called Morning Times. We thought it'd be adult of us to get a proper breakfast, other than just sweets. We also got MORE coffee. 6 coffees for 3 chicks. Yes, we have a problem.
Kelly is VERY adult with her breakfast. Sriracha art:)
Mary Poppins was a quick one week run, so we all did opening night celebrations/ gifts and closing night celebrations/ gifts in the same week. There's lots of love in this company! This eyelash dish from Kelly is one of my favorite gifts EVER. A fancy place to put your fake lashes instead of the yucky plastic thing they come in? Girls, you should get one!
Cast member, Leilani Carr, is a gal of many talents. Some lovely art work that she let me have:) Also, my sunglasses are still on because its really sunny indoors? I don't know.
Andre Cerullo, our associate MD, stopped by every day with some 'Neleus News' to post on my door. These were hilarious! Neleus is mentioned quite a bit in Mary Poppins so the music department decided to get super dramaturgical and provide us all with a new tidbit for each show. Y'all should look up some Neleus facts. Fascinatingly messed up stuff there.
Getting my wig on at the 5 min call and getting a visit from these lovely gals! Lydia Tart and Elise Dwenger ready for the first Act!
I'd forget to bring my hat to the wig call on multiple occasions...probably all 8 times we did the show...so Lisa Acevedo, our hair supervisor, would have to run back to my dressing room to put it on my head before rushing onstage. Ooops. Brittnye Batchelor designed all of these beautiful wigs for us!
A visit from THE Lisa Brescia and THE Granny (Kathy Fitzgerald)! Mrs. Banks and Mrs. Brill giving you some model behavior.
Yolanda Rabun, our Mrs. Corry, working that selfie stick! She is one of the most inspiring humans I know. She is not only a brilliant performer, but she is a lawyer as well. She actually does it all. Changing clothes before Spoonful of Sugar and wishing I owned a selfie stick.
Bryan Hunt and Kelly Bolick look totally normal. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious ain't ready for what they're about to bring! Maybe the most fun number in the entire show. Hours and hours spent learning that spelling choreo was so worth it!
Intermission equals sweating and eating this yummy kind bar. A heat wave in Raleigh, NC made Mary "glisten" :)
Jane Blass (Miss Andrew) really had the best model pose. She got her makeup done at Sephora and she's showing all of us up.
You'd think Kathy Fitzgerald was 8 years old with her antics! She likes to steal my things....I spy my tiny hand in her wig.
Here are the brilliant children who learned an entire show in a week...they barely leave the stage y'all. Many times I'd ask THEM what was next. Oh to be a sponge.
Trying to get an intermission pic with my Jane (Riley Campbell) and Michael (Micah Boan)... but Kathy is....see what I mean? 8 years old. Or just drunk. And I LOVE HER! She always makes everything more fun.
Meredith Scott, my awesome dresser, gets all the kisses. She is a rockstar!
Matinee done and onto the potluck dinner provided by NCT in the lobby! BBQ yes please!
Waiting in line and trying to steal some BBQ from Jose Rondon Jr (our Neleus!). His Neleus is so badass it would make us all audibly gasp.
Ryan Breslin (Robertson Ay) is showing a tiny bit of interest in this between show food extravaganza!
Mckenzie Utley, Micah Boan, and Kinsland Howell snuggle up with their BBQ. How cute are they?!
Our brilliant orchestra members converse with some of the banks family...Jane seems to be dominating the conversation:)
Oh my god are you guys in Mary Poppins?! They eat fried chicken too.
Folks going back for seconds...I did too, no judgement here. When in Raleigh! Food just tastes better in the south. Is it because its fried? But its calorie free so its ok.
Back to getting ready for the evening show! These lovely ladies kept all of us lookin' good for the shows and have dealt with our obnoxious antics! Good thing there were 8 shows otherwise they may have wanted to quit us:)
Again, 8 years old. This is how Kathy gets herself ready for the second show...coffee and boogers. This is why we are friends.
Facetiming with the hubby before he starts his show at Gentlemen's Guide! So proud of my murderer. Never thought that'd be a sentence that came out of my mouth.
An actual 8 year old teaching another 8 year old how to play BeanBoozeled:) That game is hilariously disgusting! Spoiled milk is a flavor?!
Around 15 minutes before the show, we'd do a dance party to get pumped up! Lots of Beyonce, Prince, and Bieber.
Folks, Nicolas Dromard! What a JOY to share the stage with this fabulous Bert! Even when I gave him eyeballs of genuine fear and confusion, he continued to give me eyeballs of support and heart! He's brilliant!
Lydia making difficult life decisions. An actor prepares.
Worlds colliding. Race meets Madame Morrible...and its a match made in heaven.
Mere, Anna, and Lauren have an obsession with these tiny toy hands and it makes for some really great entertainment. 'Lawrence Welk' Show mixed with some Donald Trump. Yup good stuff.
Peyton and Kelly are creepy in the most adorable way and ready for Playing the Game. They're about to scare the poop out of those Banks children...and myself, frankly.
There's a person under that cube. Her name is Kinsland. She couldn't see or speak in this little getup, which made me giggle!
Mrs Banks doing some light housework :)
Chimney sweeps just before tapping it out during Step in Time! Ryan Kasprzak's choreo for this number was sick!
Matt and Sean are super duper in character for the Bank scene. Aren't they handsome? :)
A throwback photo with our brilliant director, Eric Woodall, on opening night! He made this show happen in less than two weeks. I think HE is Mary Poppins.
The calm before the storm.... :)
The whole cast of Mary Poppins at NCT. Looking at this picture warms my heart. What a wonderful time this was!
