Janice Jam: Broadway For Breast Cancer | Playbill

The third-annual Janice Jam: Broadway For Breast Cancer returns to NYC benefiting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) on Monday, May 5th, 2025, at 7:30PM (doors at 6PM) at Sony Hall. Created by Broadway vet Matt DeAngelis (Swept Away), and in honor of his mother Janice, this yearly event Celebrates, Educates and Inspires those living with/affected by Metastatic Breast Cancer, and the continued work to eradicate this disease.

Audience members are in for one of the most power-packed and exciting benefit concert events of the year, with 100% of net proceeds funding metastatic breast cancer research grants through BCRF, the largest private funder of breast cancer research worldwide.

Recently, Christine originated the title character in the U.S. premiere of the Broadway Bound musical Maggie at the Goodspeed Opera House. Currently starring as Tracy in Smash on Broadway, fans of NBC’s “Smash” may remember her as the high-flying diva Ana Vargas in the original television series. Krysta starred as Cinderella in the Broadway revival of Into the Woods and in The Collaboration for Manhattan Theatre Club. Most recently, she took on the role of Rosie Alvarez in the Kennedy Center/Broadway Center Stage production of Bye Bye Birdie. Rodriguez co-starred in the Emmy Award winning Netflix/Ryan Murphy limited series “Halston” as the iconic entertainer Liza Minnelli, which marked her return to the platform after starring in “Daybreak” with Matthew Broderick. Krysta’s long list of television roles include the NBC series “Trial & Error” and “Smash.” Other credits include recurring roles on “Younger,” “Married,” “Gossip Girl,” “Quantico”, “Chasing Life”, “The Mysteries of Laura” and “Indoor Boys” (Indie Series Award). Rodriguez’s theater résumé includes Theresa Rebeck’s play Seared at MCC (Outer Critics Circle Award), in a role she originated at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. Rodriguez took on the role of famous animated princess Megara in Disney’s premiere stage adaptation Hercules as part of The Public Theater’s PublicWorks program. A recent Breast Cancer Survivor and mother via surrogacy, Sarrah is an advocate for young women facing the same diagnosis. She chronicled her journey on her Instagram, through "The Breast Cancer Diaries" and "The Surrogacy Diaries". She also co-founded "A Damn Good Life", a nonprofit that funds surrogacy journeys for breast cancer survivors that can't afford them. She has partnered with Bloomingdales, Ford Motors, Eli Lilly, General Electric Health Care, Nature's Bounty, and Hologics on their breast cancer initiatives. She has been featured on Good Morning America, ABC News, and NY1. She has appeared in seven Broadways shows and launched two successful yoga brands throughout her career.
