The LEGO Group and Universal Products and Experiences are joining forces for four new Wicked-themed LEGO sets.
The new Wicked sets, featuring mini-figs, will be released October 1, inspired by the first of the two Wicked films, which is set to hit movie theatres November 27.
“The story of Wicked creates such an incredible experience for
families, so being part of the team creating LEGO sets inspired by the
upcoming movie and bringing that universe to life is hugely exciting,”
says Raquel Ojeda Gregorio, LEGO Wicked Design Lead at the LEGO Group, in a statement.
“Wicked has some of the most magical locations and characters, and
recreating that with LEGO bricks is a match made in Oz. I can’t wait for
fans to see these colorful sets and hope they will enjoy unlocking
their imagination, creating, and telling their own Wicked-inspired
stories.”

Wicked—based on Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman's international hit musical, which continues on Broadway at the Gershwin—explores the untold story of the witches of Oz. The two-part film will be led by Emmy, Grammy, and Tony winner Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Grammy winner Ariana Grande as Glinda.
Original stars Audra McDonald and Brian Stokes Mitchell, along with Danielle Brooks, Rachel Zegler, and more, welcomed the Ahrens and Flaherty musical back to Broadway October 16.
