"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star NeNe Leakes returned to Broadway on November 23 for four weeks only in the role of Matron "Mama" Morton in the Tony-winning revival of Chicago.

She will perform through Dec. 20 at the Ambassador Theatre.

Leakes shot to stardom on Bravo’s reality show "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." She returns to Broadway after making her stage debut last year in the role of Cinderella’s wicked stepmother Madame in Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Leakes made her acting debut in the recurring role of Coach Roz Washington on Fox's "Glee," appearing over four seasons. She has guest-starred on the BET comedies "Real Husbands of Hollywood," "The Game" and "Let's Stay Together" and appeared as a series regular on Ryan Murphy’s comedy series "The New Normal" for NBC.

Leakes joins a cast that includes Amra-Faye Wright as Velma, Dylis Croman as Roxie, Jason Danieley as Billy and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.

The revival of Chicago began life as one of the three annual Encores! presentations offered by City Center. The musical opened on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in November 1996 where it remained through February 1997. The musical transferred to the Shubert Theatre on Feb. 11, 1997, and played at that house through Jan. 26, 2003. The revival reopened at the Ambassador Theatre, its current home, Jan. 29, 2003.

Chicago won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical in 1997 as well as awards for actors Bebe Neuwirth and James Naughton, director Walter Bobbie, lighting designer Ken Billington and choreographer Ann Reinking. The original production was directed and choreographed by the late Bob Fosse.

The Ambassador Theatre is located at 219 W. 49th Street.
