We are compiling a database of New York City-based actors and rehearsal pianists interested in volunteering their time for table reads and occasional short-term staged readings of new and in-development theatrical works. These opportunities are intended for rehearsal and developmental purposes only, offering artists the chance to explore characters, shape new scripts, and collaborate with emerging playwrights, composers, and fellow performers. We cast each reading based on your profile/provided information to find what is best for you and the creative team!

At The Table Read, we want to support emerging theatre voices through intimate readings, feedback, and a collaborative space to grow a writers work from the page to the stage. We are a NEW company and our goal is to take projects (in whatever stage it is at) and provide a cast, space and opportunity to hear it and possibly see it on its feet. We want to use our theatrical community to create opportunities for each other and uplift new writers together.
