DESCRIPTION

Round Room Live, LLC is seeking an experienced Assistant Production Manager / Head Carpenter for a theatrical family entertainment tour playing North America. This bus and truck tour plays one-night shows in theaters and arenas. Reporting to the Production Manager and Company Manager, the APM/Head Carp is responsible for the production's overall installation, operation, and load out, along with supporting and maintaining the tour's technical standards, procedures, and practices. The APM/Head Carp works with the Stage Manager to ensure the show is built to its fullest potential, considering venue restrictions while ensuring a safe environment.

Responsibilities:

· Daily point of contact for local labor and building staff involved in executing the show build.

· With the Company Manager, ensure all details for the day are correctly advanced, Including the venue, labor, and truck parking.

· Point of contact for all technical needs of the touring party and the day-to-day contact for the touring crew.

· Ensure stage placement is correct and sightlines are considered.

· Facilitate all flow of information among the crew and management.

· With the Stage Manager, make adjustments to the show's build when needed.

· Coordinate all parking for the trucks and buses.

Qualifications:

· Two or more years of experience in a Head Carpenter or similar role.

· One or more years of theatrical touring experience.

· Must hold a current passport and have no international travel restrictions.

· Familiarity and working knowledge of standard touring practices.

· Strong organizational and administrative skills, including experience reading contracts, correspondence, ticketing reports, and other documents.

· Outstanding judgment and ability to prioritize varying tasks.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Experience coordinating complex logistics and working within assigned budgets.

· High level of computer proficiency with knowledge of Master Tour, Word, and Excel.

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment and demonstrated sound judgment when issues must be escalated.

Details:

· Rate starts at $1600 per week, including per diem.

· Single hotel accommodations

· The company pays for all travel.

· Position to start 4/1 for pre-production.

· Travel 4/15 to rehearsals.

· The first show is on 4/24.

· The last Show is on 6/29.

· Dates are currently being booked for 2025
