Black Theatre Coalition/Broadway Across America Fellow – New York City – Ticketing & Business Intelligence Location: New York City Hourly Rate: $15 Time Commitment: 20 hours per week, 14-week program term Eligibility: Fellowships are intended for BIPOC students who are current undergraduate juniors, seniors, or graduate students interested in pursuing a career in the business of entertainment.
Summary Fellowship program participant will become a vital part of the Ticketing and Business Intelligence teams, assisting in the strategy and tactical implementation of ticketing and data analysis for touring Broadway markets across the country, while also attending team meetings and shadowing professionals. Duties below will be complemented by a weekly Fellowship curriculum teaching the fundamentals of commercial theatre presenting. Job descriptions below are subject to change as program continues to develop prior to launch.
Duties and Responsibilities Business Intelligence • Assist with building and updating reports and resources including: o Building out and cleaning up visuals using Domo and Tableau o Formatting and populating analysis tools in Excel o Writing detailed documentation to help users understand and operate analysis tools
Ticketing • Assist with reporting, website management, and event-based quality assurance o Assist reporting team in compiling daily and periodic sales reports for Broadway Across America markets o Manage clean-up projects within ticketing database to establish and maintain accurate, usable data, including proper customer addresses, phone numbers, etc. o Review internal Ticketing training documentation for accuracy, and establish protocols to improve efficiencies o Assist local Ticketing Managers in checking prices, seat inventory, and other tasks related to the management of events and inventory on multiple ticketing systems o Review Broadway Across America website for all US & Canadian markets, looking for errors or inconsistencies and testing sales links. o Monitor and test website and ticket buying processes from start to finish, ensuring systems are working properly o Upload show art and images and maintain the management of engagement artwork via the ticketing system CMS. o Generate basic customer lists for distribution of sales & marketing materials o To attain a more holistic view of Broadway Across America’s relationship with its customers, a certain number of hours a week will be spent listening to live Customer Service calls and reporting back on learnings.
