A singing competition unlike any other, in which acting counts as much as vocal talent. The Lotte Lenya Competition welcomes talented singer/actors to show they can "do it all" by presenting four contrasting theatrical songs and arias. More than $120,000 will be distributed in prizes throughout the 2024 Competition, including the top prize of $25,000. Additionally, individual prizes will be awarded after each of the preliminary ($750), semifinal ($1250), and final rounds (between $3,000 and $25,000).
Application/video audition deadline: 24 January 2024. No fee to apply; travel stipends provided for in-person semifinal and final rounds. Open to singer/actors of all nationalities, ages 19–32. Find full guidelines, resources for contestants and online application form at www.kwf.org/LLC.
